Backstreet Cruise 2013 Officially Announced

Well, the big news has finally come in. Backstreet Boy Cruise 2013 has officially been announced. Time to pop open the champagne and let the planning begin!

Everyone get excited!

I certainly hope to be there and hope you all can make it as well. If any first time cruisers have any specific questions, feel free to post them in the comments below or email me directly and I'll do my best to answer them. Or if any past cruisers want to chat as well, I'd love to hear from you as well! Just to caveat, I have no affiliation with the Backstreet Boys, Rose Tours, or Ground Ctrl. I also want to say that I've had a lot going on in my life outside of the BSB world, so I'm not sure how often I'll be updating my blog going forward. But we shall see...

In the meantime, you can find a ton of info on backstreetboyscruise.com. Here are a few highlights below:

  1. Hey Laura!
First, I really enjoy your blog and live vicariously through all of the cruise reviews. This will be my first BSB cruise and I am planning on rooming with 2 other first timers! I have a question about the booking process, I've read experiences with booking the NKOTB cruise but not the BSB cruise. The cabin we are looking at there are only 6 available for 3 people so any advice you can share to some newbies on getting their 1st choice cabin?

    1. Thanks so much for the kind words!

So the booking process is actually a little different this year. You need to have everyone in your room register here:
      https://www.reservations.rosetours.com/Booking/Account/Register
This should expedite the booking process. Just make sure you do this step and have everyone input their credit card info!

Aside from that, here are my other pieces of advice.

1- Be prepared and know exactly which room you want. Take a look at the deck plan and have your first, second, third, etc choices ready. Make sure you and your roommates agree upon this beforehand so you don't waste time the day of.

2- During the actual booking I think its a good idea to have all 3 people try to get through. Just make sure you're in communication with your roommates so that you don't double book. But theoretically that should increase your chances of getting the room you want.

3- Stay calm and keep trying to get through. I find that a lot cruisers will have multiple people trying to get through to book rooms, and sometimes rooms might be released 5, 10, 20 minutes after tickets go on sale. So don't give up hope even if you don't see your first choice available right away. It may pop up later.

4- Don't stress! If you dont get your first choice room, its not the end of the world. There should still be other rooms available and the important thing is that you're on the ship, not what room you get.

      Good luck!
